A True Story.
Sometime in 2008 I and a friend Derec were attending an art show in downtown Oakland, California not far from where I lived at the time. A very special artist was there displaying her tapestries, which are designed after her involvement with Guatemala and the students she takes there. She makes tapestries and made one of her daughters dog. That dog was white and had a funny resemblance to Chu, so we investigated. Here is what we found out when we met her:
1. This artist was Japanese and rescued a dog in Tokyo and brought back to the United States.
2. She specifically brought it back to California.
3. This dog was a rare Kishu breed.
4. This dog she named "Chu".
5. This dog was a female.
ALL of these happened to me when I found Chu!
We of course arranged to meet and we had the two Chu's meet each other. And my sweet partner bought
that tapestry from Aiko and surprised me one day putting it up in our apartment.
Her wonderful artwork can be found here: http://www.aikokobayashi.com/apps/photos/photo?photoid=42876477
